170 Thank God.

Thank God for Who He is.

He is amazing beyond our current and even our future, eternal comprehension.  The infinite goodness of God will never be fully realized by us, though our understanding of Him will grow throughout the ages.

He is loving and kind, merciful and gracious, patient and long suffering toward our race which has fallen into sin.  He wants to save us and share life with us.  He wants us to personally know and abide with Him forever in a truly holy and joyful relationship.

Thank God for who you are.

You’re his idea from eternity past.  He created you.  And, though His perfect idea of you has been wrecked by sin, He still wants to accomplish it by re-making you.  When God’s re-creation of you is complete, you will be the glorious person He intended you to be— the perfect version of yourself.  And you will be very pleased and thoroughly happy with the result.

Trust His plan for you.  It’s infinitely better than your own.  And, it’s solidly in the realm of possibility because He is, and He is for you.  And, if God is for you, and you are willing yourself, which, by all means, you ought to be, nothing can stop you from achieving its reality.  God plunges each of us into the greatest hope imaginable.  And it will be fully realized in a world so great that it will bear no resemblance to this one.  It’s all because of Who He is, the Source of all good and the Doer of all wonders.  All of our potential is His grace to us (1Corinthians 15:10).  His promises are reliable and certain.  God deserves much appreciation from each of us for His inclusion of us in the ineffable eternity that lies just ahead.
