Happy New Year! It is the dawn of a new year.  I am literally writing this in the first hour of the year.  I just got home from our Watchnight service at Church, which was awesome!  Before going, I meditated on the good things of God while sipping a cup of raspberry hot chocolate.  That was refreshing.  But I was glad when they said unto me let us go to the house of the Lord.  The worship, the testimonies, the preaching, and taking communion were tremendous.  What a way the begin the year.  And I believe the new year holds many great things.

2022 was a sad and hard year,  having lost Jan, the love of my life.  But God proved to be the God of all comfort.  And people were extremely nice.  The hope of the Gospel never meant more to me than it did this last year.  We’re saved!  Therefore, we’re blessed.

We will see our loved ones again.  At the Rapture, our redemption will be complete and we will be like Him.  We will fit in that Holy City like a hand in a glove because He will make our natures perfect.  He is preparing that place for us.   Let’s hold on to our hope until the day break and the shadows flee away

The lesson I post now ties nicely with the previous one.  I hope it blesses you.  Since the day I was filled with the Holy Ghost, I have loved the plan of salvation.  While meditating earlier, I thought about the awesome privilege to know the God of heaven, the Christ of the Gospels, Who has revealed to us His name and oneness.  All His promises to us are yea and amen.  We trust God because He is faithful and good.  With Him, there is no defeat.  No lasting disappointment.  Just Victory!

As we travel through this life, we always want to follow Christ (John 1:43).  We have followed Him to salvation.  Now we want to follow Him in taking His precious Gospel to the world.

I’m presenting as a new post this simple Bible lesson that I shared yesterday with a man I met about a year ago.  I will post some others in the future as ideas for you to consider for use because persons interested in Bible study will come from different perspectives and have interests or needs peculiar to them.  In presenting home Bible studies, a one-size-fits-all approach isn’t always best.  The Gospel has many facets.  One may be more appealing to any given person than another.

In the near future, i will try to make the PDFs of these studies available, too.

Truth is our bastion of hoped— the rainbow in a stormy time.  Someone said the difference between coal and diamond is that diamond held up under pressure.

The Scriptural expression, Until the day break and the shadows flee away, assures that such a time as described is coming.  God holds every tomorrow in His hand.  Nothing prevents His will from coming to pass.  Though it be perceived to be delayed, it really isn’t.  It will not be delayed; it will come (Habakkuk 2:2-3).  Solomon observed that the path of the righteous is as the dawning light, that shines more and more unto the perfect day (Proverbs 4:18 ASV).  How great it is to receive encouragement from a morning Psalm— like Psalm 112:4a Unto the upright, there arises light in the darkness.

The promises of God are wonderful.  Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.  Hope deferred makes the heart sick; but when the desire comes, it is a tree of life.  No good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly.  All the promises of God are yes and amen.  Victory In Jesus is not a musical theme relegated to the past.  It is more relevant today than ever.

I present another Bible study here on salvation. This has to do with the necessity of administering baptism in the name of Jesus.

This doctrine is a necessary part of the Gospel, which is the basis of our hope.  And hope is the anchor of the soul until the day break and the shadows flee away. Until then, we make melody in our hearts to the Lord.

Well, I’m in a hotel in Lexington, TN, halfway to Louisiana to be with family and to honor the life of Sis. Paula Martin.

My car ran fine.  I’m thankful for that!  Talking to my son earlier today, he asked what I would be doing all evening in the hotel.  Well, this is it— producing a short Bible study.

I hope the echo from this room can be overlooked.  The floors are wood.

This is a lesson in late January, 2023 that I taught in Sunday School.  I didn’t plan on filming it, so I only have the audio.  Someone suggested that I post it as well.
