Into The Deep

Committed To The Truth

Hi. I'm Jim Maurer, Sr.

I'm an Apostolic minister. Thanks for visiting this site.

Apostolic, by the way, refers to the teaching that came to us through the Apostles, who were the chosen instruments of Christ for that purpose (John 17:20; Hebrews 2:3). To be Apostolic is to follow the teaching of the Apostles. This is especially important in salvation doctrine.

What I Believe

★ To know God is man’s highest quest (Jeremiah 9:23-24).

★ To acquire biblical knowledge is the greatest exercise of human intellect and the height of learning (Philippians 3:8).

★ Choosing to obey the Bible’s tenets is the greatest exercise of free will.

★ The Bible is abundantly clear that Acts 2:38, which was revealed by Peter on the Day of Pentecost, is the plan of salvation for the Christian era (Acts 2:39).

★ The Rapture is the next event on the prophetic calendar (John 14:1-3; Ephesians 5:27; 1Thessalonians 4:16-18; Titus 2:13).  Jesus Christ is coming back soon exclusively for His blood-washed, Spirit-filled Bride, which He purchased by the infinite price of His blood on Calvary (Acts 20:28).

Donald L. Crilley

This site is dedicated to the memory of Don Crilley, who, along with his wife, Margie, won my wife and me to the Lord and was a faithful support to us until his death on April 19, 2019. We are greatly indebted to the fine Apostolic witness of Don and Margie.

I also give honor to the man of God, who had been my Pastor for 47 years, the late Bishop Harold Strange, and his wife, Mrs. H. R. Strange, of Apostolic Lighthouse Tabernacle in Massillon, Ohio.  They left their invaluable and indelible impression upon me to love the truth.

I also honor my current Pastor and his wife, Rev. and Mrs. Nicholas Strange.

I’m thankful to my late parents, Vernon and Evelyn, who raised my siblings and me in a God-fearing home where we learned to believe in God, pray, and attend Church.

I am especially thankful for my wife, Dawn.  After our previous spouses in ministry graduated from this life and went on to be with the Lord, it was God’s plan for us to continue our walk and ministry with Him together.  We are thankful for His many mercies.

Note

The blog posts follow each other somewhat organically.   It is, therefore, best, if possible, to read them from the beginning rather than going backward.
